Set on a fictional, medieval-inspired landmass ‘The Continent,’ The Witcher is an American fantasy drama web series produced by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich. It is streaming on Netflix since December 20, 2019, and is based on the set of nine books of the same name by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski. The story arc of The Witcher Netflix features the legend of Geralt of Riva and princess Ciri starring Henry Cavill, Freya Allan, and Anya Chalotra. The first season consists of eight episodes, and the release of the second season is scheduled to commence in early 2021.
