The place was named “Murthal” after the speculations of Muni’s (Saint’s) coming here for their meditation. It is said the Muni- “Kali Baba” gathered the Dhaba owners over the area in around 1980s and gave a prophecy of the bright futures of their businesses but there was one condition to it- no one should sell any non-vegetarian product. Since then, non-vegetarian food has never been sold in any of the Murthal Dhabas.

The place is inspired by classic and all-time favorite Dharmendra. Garam Dharam’s ambiance will remind you of classic Bollywood scenes with very pleasantly vibrant colors and set-up like Dummy Trucks, cars, and autorickshaws where you can sit and eat as well! They serve delicious food and just like a Murthal Dhaba its specialty is its Parantha, Butter, and chai! They even have a facility of camel ride around their parking area for adding up to your fun!

Being set up in the 1950s and one of the oldest Dhabas around Murthal, Gulshan Dhaba also provides outdoor seating for fresh air loving customers. With the taste of their food, it’s no surprise that they have gained trust among the customers and have been able to satisfy them for so many years.

The best way to go to Murthal is to gather your family and friends, get inside your car or their car and go for a road trip. It’s quite feasible to go through your vehicle as it adds up to your fun and relaxing. With NH1 being highly prone to traffic jams, the best time to go is at night. Murthal is open 24*7 so you don’t have to worry for shutters down. Another option is to take a taxi or book a cab from a service provider like Ola or Uber and hit the road. Since traveling at midnight can be dangerous, it is requested to be always alert and drive under the speed limits. There are speed cameras in the road to keep a check on the speed and you can find police barricades and vans often for safety purposes.
From Delhi to Murthal it’s a drive of approximately 50km and takes about 50 minutes to reach with medium to no traffic.
